A Digital Reflection Photography & Videography

…capturing those special moments for you…

Dona Bonnett has a passion for capturing and preserving special moments for others. “I get to share in the lives of my clients during the most exciting times and free them up to enjoy every moment while I take care of capturing and preserving them,” she says. Dona owns, “A Digital Reflection Photography & Videography” at 217 Nelson Street NW in Hartselle.

Growing up in the Birmingham area, Dona feels at home in Hartselle because she has extended family from the Hartselle area. Her grandmother, Beatrice Freeman Atkinson, grew up here and Dona’s great-grandparents were merchant owners in Falkville during the depression, which creates a connection through her family’s life experiences.

As a member of the Hartselle and Decatur Chambers of Commerce, Dona works hard to support and promote local businesses. She also participates or supports local charities such as the John Mark Stallings SNAP of Morgan County, Hartselle Historical Society, Relay for Life and F.A.C.E.S.

She spends much of her time helping others take better photos by teaching classes on Digital Photography and Adobe Photoshop at Calhoun Community College. Dona and her husband, Gary, are active members at West Hartselle Baptist Church.

Dona does more than offer a service to her customers. Long after the pictures are taken she remembers every person who’s walked through her studio, often watching as the young ones grow up in pictures. Dona’s “eye for detail” is often the reason people return to her studio. “Weddings, babies and high school seniors are at the heart of what we do,” she says.

Using her graphic abilities as a contemporary portrait artist to not only capture, but enhance the essence of someone’s life, Dona follows the latest trends in portrait photography with quality products & services including custom canvas & leather albums, digital portrait enhancements, Infrared wedding photography & iPOD productions.

Dona says she is looking forward to many years of serving "The City of Southern Hospitality."

A Digital Reflection Photography & Videography recently celebrated five years in business in October with a Ribbon Cutting and open house event. Dona also sponsored an open house on Halloween where she made photos of children and adults in costume. A Christmas open house is also being planned which will include photos with the one and only Santa!

A Digital Reflection Photography & Videography Hosts Newcomers Club

A Digital Reflection Photography & Videography hosted the Hartselle Newcomers Club on Thursday, January 14, 2010.

Dona Bonnett, owner & portrait artist, shared information about how she became involved in photography & videography. Everyone had a great time learning about the products & services available, viewing studio samples and touring the facility including the indoor studio, reception area, consultation, viewing and sales room, executive & production office, and outdoor studio sets. Many commented on the quality of the state-of-the-art photography and wonderful facility.

Their main client base includes weddings and bridal, babies and children, high school seniors and corporate work. Products include Infrared Wedding Photography, iPod productions, Digital Enhancements, Leather & Custom Canvas Albums, Canvas & Gallery Wraps and much, much more. Dona’s creative abilities as a portrait artist along with her digital skills enable her to provide many unique portraits, composites and album designs.

Dona also enjoys helping other people take better pictures. She has worked as a Digital Photography & Adobe Photoshop Instructor at Calhoun Community College, has also taught classes at her studio as well as one-on-one.

During the Newcomers Meeting, the group talked about upcoming travel opportunities offered through Adventures Unlimited Travel of Hartselle & Dona provided lunch for everyone.
